-doctor "I can't give you that medication, might be pregnant"
-orientation consellor " What you want to do is be a teacher, because no matter what you're gonna be pregnant soon, and that's secuity"
-colleagues "You've seen a stork ?" "No two of them " "Well that means twins in the year"
-family in law "Happy father's day dad" "Thanks, should I wish you a happy father's day too ?"
This is my answer to all (male and female, yes, female too !) :
How can you be so sure ? I might as well be sterile (just imagine telling a sterile women all that !), or I just do not want to have kids (hot news
: women who do not want to have kids are true women too !). And even if I wanted kids, it is my own problem, well rather our problem since it also concern the father but it does not concern
anyone else !
That is precisely why if someday we want to get pregnant we won't ask you. But no worries, you will know it since we do not intend on hidding my belly nor the child ! So please stop.
Now to all the recruiters and
bosses, just be aware that if someday I was to get pregnant, well, I will have no choice but to carry the baby myself. Yes, it is fact, it is nature, we cannot change it unless we leave in
Adous Huxley's Brave New World, women are the only bodies able to carry babies ! But believe me, I know a certain amount of women who would have prefer to let their husband carry the baby or
who would have loved to share it with him, leave it home during the working hours... Unfortunately remouvable uterus has not yet been invented nor male with uterus. so you will have to get used to it.
One more thing : it has not yet been proven that pregnancy disminished mental abilities...
